AKA Neuromodulators, “Wrinkle Relaxers”
Xeomin® & Daxxify™ offer one of the easiest, most convenient, and effective ways to rejuvenate your face. With a quick 30 min visit and virtually no pain or downtime, you can turn back the hands of time.
Botox and Xeomin are very similar in that they both contain the same active ingredient, botulinum toxin type A, which softens fine lines and wrinkles caused by facial expressions, sun exposure, and the natural aging process. The key difference lies in their formulation: Botox contains accessory proteins, while Xeomin has removed these accessory proteins. This means Xeomin carries less risk of your body forming antibodies to Botulinum toxin A that could reduce the treatment’s effectiveness over time. Many of our clients also prefer Xeomin’s “lighter” feel, and some studies suggest it may last slightly longer than Botox.

Enter Daxxify — the new kid on the block. Like Botox and Xeomin, Daxxify uses botulinum toxin A to relax targeted muscles, but it’s stabilized with a proprietary peptide technology rather than human or animal proteins. Not only does this innovation extend results for up to 6 months in many patients, but peptides themselves have well-known benefits in supporting healthier, firmer skin. By pairing muscle relaxation with peptide support, Daxxify can help improve both the longevity of results and the overall quality of skin appearance — making it a breakthrough option for those seeking smoother, more radiant outcomes with fewer treatment sessions each year.
what can they do for me?
Daxxify & Xeomin are FDA approved for cosmetic use in areas of the face including the forehead, the Glabella Complex (over and between the brows), and the Crows Feet (around the eyes). Researchers and Healthcare providers have also recognized the benefits of treating other areas around the face and as such, these “off label” applications are readily sought out by patients and are utilized by practitioners when clinically appropriate.
The Nasalis muscle is found in the nose and over time can create wrinkles on the bridge and sides of the nose. By injecting Daxxify or Xeomin superficially near the muscle, the product diffuses into the nasalis and relaxes these lines.
A “gummy smile” refers to the appearance of excessive gingival tissue showing above the upper teeth when smiling. This is most often due to overactivity of the muscles that elevate the upper lip — particularly the levator labii superioris alaeque nasi (LLSAN), sometimes nicknamed the “Elvis muscle” for the way it creates a snarl-like lift. Other muscles, such as the levator labii superioris, zygomaticus minor, or levator anguli oris, may also contribute depending on individual anatomy. By carefully relaxing these muscles with precise treatment, the upper lip rests in a more balanced position, creating a smile that looks natural, harmonious, and aesthetically pleasing.
The Depressor Anguli Oris (DAO) muscle extends downward from the Orbicularis Oris, the ring-like muscle that surrounds the lips. Its main action is pulling the corners of the mouth downward, creating the appearance of a frown. The Orbicularis Oris itself, which encircles and supports the lips, is also responsible for the formation of fine vertical lines above the upper lip and below the lower lip. These lines develop over time through repetitive movements such as speaking, pursing, and eating, as well as from the natural aging process.
To treat these concerns, a very fine needle is used to precisely place Xeomin or Daxxify into the targeted muscles. This softens their contraction, helping to lift the corners of the mouth and reduce the appearance of lip lines — turning a frown into a more relaxed, refreshed expression.
By injecting a small amount of Xeomin or Daxxify into the muscle over the upper lip (Orbicularis Oris) the muscle is relaxed and provides a subtle enhancement to your upper lip. The lip will evert slightly and more red lip will show when smiling and at rest. Additionally, the cupid’s bow will appear slightly plumper and a ski jump-like aesthetic will define your existing vermillion border (the edge of the lip).
As we age, neck bands (platysma muscles) become more apparent, neck lines increase, and the skin over the neck becomes looser. With the neck being a critical area of importance when communicating youth and beauty, it is often surprisingly overlooked. To create a more youthful neck and contour of the lower face, Xeomin or Daxxify may be injected into the prominent platysma bands of the neck, the Depressor Anguli Oris (muscles that pull down the corners of the mouth), and the Mentalis (Chin Muscle). The results begin to show approximately three days after treatment and continue to improve over the course of 2 weeks. Results may last anywhere from 4 to 6 months.
In 2004, the U.S. Food & Drug Administration (FDA) approved BOTOX (onabotulinumtoxinA) for the treatment of axillary hyperhidrosis (excessive underarm sweating). When Botox or Xeomin is injected just below the surface of the skin and sweat gland, it interrupts the chemical messages that cause sweating thereby “turning off” the sweating in the areas injected. The full effect of treatment is appreciated in two weeks and can last from 3 to 5 months.
Another common problem area is the chin. As we age, the repetitive movement of the mentalis muscle causes dimpling in the chin and an orange peel appearance overlying the skin. By relaxing the mentalis muscle with Xeomin or Daxxify, the overlying skin of the chin will be smoother, less dimpled, and the relaxed mentalis muscle will allow for a more favorable contour to the lower face, both on frontal and profile views.
The Masseter is one of the primary muscles of mastication (chewing). It connects the lower jaw (mandible) to the cheekbone (zygomatic arch) and is composed of three layers that work in coordination with surrounding muscles to move the temporomandibular joint (TMJ) and allow the mouth to open and close. When the Masseter becomes overactive from habits such as clenching, grinding, or excessive chewing, it can lead to muscle and joint discomfort. However, many people overuse this muscle without realizing it, as symptoms are not always painful. Over time, this chronic overuse can cause the Masseter to enlarge (hypertrophy), leading to a widened or squared jawline.
Treatment with Xeomin or Daxxify involves precise injections into the Masseter muscle to reduce its activity. For those seeking relief from jaw tension or pain, symptom improvement is often noticed within about 1 week. For jawline slimming, the muscle gradually reduces in bulk after treatment, with visible contouring changes beginning as early as 2 weeks and continuing to refine over the next 2–3 months. With consistent initial treatments (3-6 months), results can be maintained for longer periods, and follow-up sessions are typically needed only every 6–12 months.
When seeking treatment for jaw pain, Botox or Xeomin is injected directly into the Masseter to weaken the muscle and a noticeable improvement in symptoms will typically begin in 1 week. For jaw slimming, Botox or Xeomin is injected into the Masseter to weaken the muscle. Slimming results may become apparent as soon as 2 weeks and will continue to improve up to three months. With more frequent initial follow up treatments, the results will last longer and follow up may only be required every 6-12 months.
Stories of beauty, confidence, and care.
Diana is amazing and have worked with her for years. You can trust her 💯 to be amazing!

Absolutely outstanding experience with Diana! From the moment I walked in, I felt welcomed and at ease. Diana is incredibly knowledgeable and skilled, taking the time to thoroughly explain each procedure and answer all my questions. The results exceeded my expectations, leaving me feeling confident and rejuvenated. Her studio is pristine, and she is personable and professional. I wouldn’t trust anyone else with my injectables needs. Highly recommend!”

From the moment I met Diana, she made me feel extremely comfortable. She is AMAZING! Very knowledgable, talented, skillful, compassionate and so sweet! I highly recommend her services!!

Diana is the absolute sweetest person! I see her for Botox and lip filler! I had never had either done before seeing her and she has helped me with keeping things natural like I wanted. She listens to everything you say! Every time I go in there I get a confidence boost. If you need Botox or filler go to her!

Diana is an artist and a miracle worker. I've had Botox done from a few other places in town and it always came out "ok" as I didn't really feel like I was heard, they just wanted the money, and I would be in and out in less than 15 mins. However, I am so happy I met Diana, she is patient and kind. Takes her time and does great work, and she is just fun to hand out with. She understood my past bad experience with lip filler, so I was hesitant, but she made it easy and now by lips look perfect.

I’ve had my first entree into the world of “Speak Beauty” this summer and I’ve never looked and felt better. There are no words to recommend them highly enough!! I’m forever grateful and excited to continue on the journey with Diana and team!! Cannot wait to invest more in my beauty and power unapologetically with these fierce fabulous forces of nature! 💫🫶🏽☀️ August 2024 UPDATE: Whilst traveling this summer I was recently asked, “You meant to say you’re 40, right?” “No”, I say grinning, 🙏🏽❤️… I am proudly 60! Thank you Speak Beauty 💫

Diana is absolutely amazing, if you are thinking about getting any injectables or face treatments, stop looking this is the place to go!

I cannot say enough good things about Diana! I myself am an injector and had filler placed in July that I was not thrilled with! She went out of her way to help me and dissolve it and give me a much more flattering, natural look! She has an extremely warm demeanor and you can tell she truly cares about improving the confidence of each of her patient’s. It can be a competitive industry, so I feel so fortunate to have met such a kind, knowledgeable fellow injectable. Her anatomy knowledge is top notch as well!

Diana is truly amazing! She is the most caring person with the warmest, approachable demeanor. Her work is always safe and gentle. I trust her professional and knowledgeable approach with any work done to my face. I will happily be coming back to her with anything I need done to keep me feeling beautiful! She is the best!!!.

All three treatments — BOTOX®, Xeomin®, and Daxxify™ — work using the same active ingredient, botulinum toxin type A, to temporarily relax targeted muscles and smooth lines caused by repeated facial expressions.
The key differences are in how each product is formulated:
BOTOX® contains botulinum toxin type A along with accessory proteins. While effective, these additional proteins may increase the chance of developing antibodies over time, which can reduce the treatment’s effectiveness in some patients.
Xeomin® is a “naked” or purified version of botulinum toxin type A that is free of accessory proteins. Because of this, there minimal, if any, risk of protein-related antibody formation, which may help preserve effectiveness with repeated use. Many patients also describe Xeomin as having a lighter, more natural feel.
Daxxify™ is the newest option. It uses the same botulinum toxin type A but is stabilized with a peptide-based system rather than accessory proteins. This innovation not only avoids antibody concerns but also allows results to last significantly longer — often 6 months or more for many patients.
In short: the primary drug is identical across all three, but the supporting formulation determines how each product behaves in terms of longevity, feel, and potential for antibody resistance.
Treatments generally take 15-45 minutes, depending on how many areas are being treated.
The effects of BOTOX® and Xeomin® typically last about 3–4 months, so most clients schedule treatments every 3–4 months (about three to four times a year) to maintain their results. The exact frequency can vary depending on factors such as age, the severity of wrinkles, muscle strength, metabolism, and personal goals. With consistent treatments, the muscles may gradually “learn” to stay more relaxed, sometimes extending the interval between sessions.
Daxxify™, on the other hand, is designed for longer-lasting results, with many patients experiencing benefits for 4–6 months. This makes it a great option for those who prefer fewer treatment sessions throughout the year. After your initial appointment, we’ll recommend the best follow-up schedule based on your individual needs and the product chosen.
We price our wrinkle-relaxing treatments by the unit because it’s the fairest and most accurate way to match the treatment to your needs. Each brand of neuromodulator (like Xeomin, Botox, or Daxxify) has its own way of measuring a “unit.” The tricky part is that one brand’s unit is not always equal to another’s.
For example, 1 unit of Xeomin is truly 1 unit, and we charge $10 per unit. Daxxify works differently: what the company defines as “1 unit” actually has the effect of 2 units in the way most people are used to thinking about dosing. Some clinics advertise Daxxify as $10 per unit, but that can be misleading because you actually need 2 “unit equivalents” of Daxxify to equal what most people know as 1 unit of Botox or Xeomin. So in reality, that price is closer to $20 per true equivalent unit.
To avoid confusion, we keep it transparent. At our clinic, 1 unit is always measured the same way for pricing purposes. That way, you know exactly what you’re paying for and can make apples-to-apples comparisons between brands. This approach ensures there are no surprises and that you’re getting the full value of your treatment.
The number of units varies per person and per area. For example: * Forehead: Typically ranges from 10-30 units. * Frown Lines: Often requires 10-25 units. * Crow’s Feet: Usually 5-15 units per side (10-30 units total for both eyes). * Masseter (for jaw slimming): Can range from 20-50 units per side. A consultation will help determine the number of units needed. You may also book the service and we will confirm with you before beginning treatment.
The distinction lies in formulation, and mechanism of action. Daxxify is engineered with a proprietary peptide exchange technology (a specialized protein-based stabilizer rather than the traditional human serum albumin used in other neuromodulators), allowing it to bind differently at the neuromuscular junction (where the nerve and muscle meet). This unique mechanism contributes to a longer duration of effect compared to Xeomin or Botox.
Although unit values may appear disproportionate on paper, these products are not dose-equivalent (you can’t compare them one-to-one by number of units) or directly interchangeable. Substituting, for instance, 2 units of Xeomin or Botox for 1 unit of Daxxify would not yield comparable clinical outcomes (treatment results) or longevity (how long the effects last).
Each neuromodulator possesses a distinct molecular profile (structure and formulation) and pharmacodynamic behavior (how it acts within the body), which is why dosing and pricing are established according to individual product parameters—ensuring accuracy, efficacy, and transparency in treatment planning.
